"We didn't know when we adopted Gir in June of 2010 how perfect he was for our family. He was the perfect dog; never had an accident, never reactive, and never made any messes or got into anything he shouldn't. He just wanted his people and his snacks. 14 years comes with so many transitions and losses and new family members and he took it all in with stride and love. Having him since I was a preteen means I grew up with him and I often joke that he is the man who raised me. He watched me become so many people and his love never wavered and never changed. My last act of love for him was to let him go and I will miss him for the rest of my life. As far as companions go, he truly set the bar." - Tristin Roberts & Tracy Scott
